God, why am I still awaaaaaake? Ver, put the book away and go to bed. Seriously. >|
-Obviously, from my last "entry", blind_go got submitted. I wasn't sure it was going to happen for a while there. Time will tell whether it was a wise move or not, but I did find a few typos (argh)... and someone guessed me ALREADY. Apparently I'm just that bad at stealth. *is a fail!ninja*
I'm about halfway through reading fic, though, and I have to say that most of it is very good. <3 Happy late birthday to me!
-Birthday was last Saturday (two days before Hikaru's, heh). It was cool. I went out to lunch with Stef, which was entirely too bad for me but oh well, and then I spent my present and then some at Barnes & Noble (some cool notebooks and stuff with dragons on them that were on clearance [seriously, how cool are those?], a new Dragonlance trilogy, YAY, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, a clearanced book of personality tests that looked fun... that might've been it, actually) and we walked around the mall a bit. It was a chill day, gorgeous weather, couldn't have asked for better. <3
-I finally, finally bit the bullet and ordered my reward for the most recent weight level, which I've been staring at for what, the past month and a half? I've earned it, dammit. Since it's the first season of Tiny Toons (yes, I'm a child, shut up), and there are two parts, I've decided that I'll get the first part now, and then the second part when the BATHROOM scale gets under that special number. Being that the bathroom scale and the Wii scale never agree on anything. I think that's more than fair. Honestly, I think besides the money (but hell, part 1 of season 1 is cheaper than FFXIII was...), the bathroom scale was the reason I was hesitating. I didn't feel it was right to reward myself for it when the bathroom scale was still much higher. But... I've been using the Wii scale this whole time, so... that's the thing I've got to go by. Right?
The only bad part is that Amazon made a suggestion to me, and uh. I also ended up ordering the first three seasons of Boy Meets World. ^_^;;; In my defense, it's just over $30 for all three! So I feel like I definitely got a good deal there.
-Also got some stuff off of the Bath & Body Works site, since Country Apple (my favorite fall scent) isn't available in their stores anymore, just online, plus I can never seem to find travel size items in scents that I like in the store either. Note to self: Only order from the website for things you absolutely can't get in store. The shipping is ridiculous. It STARTS at six dollars, even if you're just getting a couple of tiny travel size things, and only goes up from there. On the other hand, they're certainly much faster than Amazon's free shipping... It's been two days, and the B&BW should be here tomorrow (today, technically)... meanwhile, Amazon hasn't even shipped yet. XD Well, whatever, as long as it shows up before I leave, I don't really care.
-COUSIN DID TWO MORE PAGES OF MY MITANI/ED DOUJIN!!! Go look at it, it's gorgeous. <3 When it's finished I'll figure out how to print it at a decent (read: legible) quality and it will be GLORIOUS. <333
-I think this is going to be my favorite site EVER. Just saying.
-In other news, Stef is a horrible enabler. A month or so ago, she told me about how Barnes & Noble has an e-reader that you can download to your computer... and that there's even FREE e-books to download. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiny. I downloaded it and I've used it somewhat, but the problem is that it's white background, black text, and there's no option to change it. It KILLS my eyes after a while. So I haven't used it as much as i would've expected to by now... and then yesterday, she tells me that Amazon has one that's better. *_* SHINY. I can change the background to black with grey text. Plus they have more free e-books. If somebody was watching my Amazon account yesterday, they were probably like "wtf", because I seriously "bought" like... some fifty odd books. All free though, which is awesome. Amazon is pretty close to owning my soul now. XD On the upside, this way I will definitely have Things To Read while on vacation next month. Something to keep me occupied in the wee hours when I'm the only one up. :P
-Wireless printer/scanners are freaking AWESOME.
-Apple cider doughnuts probably next week. SO EXCITED. :D :D :D :D :D
Okay, so it's been a busy week, and this week isn't shaping up to be any better, so I guess I should REALLY get some sleep. orz.

You don't know..... asjhdislajdkslajdksla.
An apple cider doughnut is the best freaking thing about fall. It's a delicious, probably really horrible for you kind of cakey doughnut they make with apple cider (obviously) and then they put sugar and cinnamon on it and you ideally eat them when they're still nice and hot and they practically melt in your mouth. *drools*
You MUST come to the northeast at some point and have one. Not the grocery store kind, but the real thing. Seriously. I would totally send you some, but I don't think they would ship well. XDDD
Also, here, have a picture:

Hrm....... maybe. I will investigate. The other snag in this plan is that you're moving soon, right? I'd wait, but if I'm going next week, I'm probably not going again, especially with my lack of car. So where would I send it to? :/

I am moving for realsies next weekend. Should be all in my new house on October 3rd! 8|b

PS- If you are not averse to ahem "acquiring" e-books in a less than legal manner I can hook you up >.>

*coughcough* Definitely not averse... depending on what books they are. XD But generally, no! :D

I have a whoooole bunch...I tried to get a list of them, but it didn't show subfolders so bah. Tell me what you like and I'll make a list BY HAND or something. And tell me which format you want them in. Things I have the most of: sf and gay romance. What a surprise huh?

My favorite genres are fantasy and mystery. Not too fond of horror and sci-fi usually (I'll take dragons over robots any day, heh), but I'll read just about anything if I'm bored enough. I'm totally up for the gay romance, btw. Which I'm sure is a huge surprise. ^_^;;;
...format? The only ones I'm familiar with are pdf and whatever the Nook and Kindle software use. I have no idea about anything else.

I...don't know if I have any fantasy. Probably because I've been reading it in real book format and don't know of any others to look for. I know there's a bunch at the aforementioned comm though. XD
Happily some of the gay romances are mysteries! I can't vouch for them as I haven't read them all, but it's always a great combination, right?
Most of mine are in pdf format. Kindle reader uses mobi and azw, though I'm not sure if the ones I had amazon convert to azw are copy-protected or not... we'll have to fgind out. I don't know which format Nook uses. Which program/format do you prefer to read in, or do you not care?

For actual readers, I prefer the amazon one (changing background ftw), but I've read pdf's before. They're still okay, I just can't read them as fast. So I don't really care. :P I would just need a directional toward a program to read it with if there's anything that's a weird format.
