☁ Okay, I know, I've been pretty failboaty about posting lately. In my defense, my brain has been swallowed whole by a freaking bunny that Lish has been encouraging whole heartedly, damn her. XD Between the writing itself and the plotting and the research (Yes, research. ME. The one who once told Tari that the way to know if a fic is not me is if there's research involved, because that's too much damn work. XD) UGH. I'm torn between wanting to work on it just to get it done, and wanting to shove it in a paper shredder and never think about it again. >_<

☁ That being said, sadly, Beyond Good and Evil has been just kind of... chilling in my PS2. Whoops. ^_^;;;

☁ My nail polishes came~ I have so far tried Pandora and Kieko. Kinda on the fence about Pandora still. In most lights it looks pink on me, which is not something I'm thrilled about, to say the least. Ugh. I wasn't sure about Kieko at first either, but I actually really, really like it. :D

☁ Every once in a while, I like to check what Google pulls up on my name. It's really not an ego thing- it's good to keep tabs on that kind of thing. Make sure things aren't being linked to my real name that shouldn't be and whatnot. ^_^; Anyway, this one site pulls up my info- middle initial, (partial) address, and everything... but some of the details are a riot. They have a few basic things right- star sign, race, gender- but I'm also apparently protestant (WTF) and I make 600k a year (*dies laughing* Oh man, in my DREAMS.) Kinda makes me wonder where they get their information from, you know?

☁ Cute Tide commercial- yay for playing with stereotypes! On the other hand, from the same campaign there is also this, which is complete and utter FAIL. Come on, Tide, really?

☁ I found a wine I like! :D Okay, granted, it's kind of cheating because it's more like juice, but TECHNICALLY it's wine. HUMOR ME. It's this stuff- a peach flavored wine. Freaking delicious. And cheap! It also barely has any alcohol in it (8 proof), so... heh.

☁ Before my brain got eaten, I was working on Final Fantasy IV. Kinda hating it right now. The DS version is apparently quite a bit harder than the original, which might explain a couple of battles where I went, "I'm dead. HOW DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN? O_o" Also it irritates the living hell out of me that after Cecil gets turned into a Paladin, he restarts at level ONE. FROM LEVEL THIRTY. Seriously, FFIV? Fuck you. Fuck you with something sharp and pointy. >(

☁ Unbelievably sick. Oh. My. God. There just... there are no words. Faith in the goodness of humanity right now? NEGATIVE INFINITY.

☁ In fandom news: I only have a few more fics to post to AO3 and then I'm ALL CAUGHT UP. I'm waiting a bit for the "wall of Ver-land" (Lish's name for it, which kind of makes me die inside because I was trying to not do that. XD) to subside before I stick those on there. :/ Also! Hikago fandom is apparently staging a coup on AO3. We are officially beating both Sailor Moon and InuYasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale. :D :D :D :D Which is freaking awesome and will never happen anywhere except AO3, seriously. XD Banners and stuff here. We're not really aiming for #1 in Anime/Manga, because let's get real here, but... we've now broken the top 15, so maybe... 10? :D That would be amaaaaazing for our teeny tiny fandom.

☁ Kiiiiinda thinking I may have to suck it up and go to the dentist instead of Japan. (Let's just say... pain has been something of an issue lately.) Which makes me sadface and it SUCKS, because OF COURSE something like a once in a lifetime trip can't happen for me, because OF COURSE something else has to come up. UGH. On the upside, if I do end up HAVING to go to the dentist... I will get my god damn teeth fixed and it will stop being a major source of embarrassment. SO. As much as it would SUCK to not be able to go... I can't bring myself to see this as a =complete= disappointment, you know what I mean? At least I would be getting something positive out of it. Minus the paralyzing fear and the anxiousness and shame and all of that. <_< Now I just need to, uh. Do some research. And make some calls. And gather up the courage to actually go. Which... I probably won't. Bleh. I feel sick just thinking about it. And before anybody says anything, no, I can't do both. The fact is that I'm poor, and getting my teeth taken care of will cost me a not so small fortune. Sooooo yeah. :(

☁ I'm trying to not end this on a negative note, so... good news: it's supposed to be actually really nice for my days off! :D Might go do stuff. Or at least go to the library for a change of pace or something. ^_^

Ooh, I am intrigued by this brain-devouring plot bunny! Though I agree, researching for a fic, especially Hikago fic, is hard, and I usually try to pick fic premises where I can get away with a quick Googling. XD

I have three more drabbles, and then I'll be done with my uploading my Hikago backlog too. I love how Hikago fandom managed to make up the difference between us and Inuyasha within one day of Qem's post. Hee! I am having way too much fun with the banners.

It might be worth going to a dentist that does free first check ups, to get an evaluation of the work. When I was worried about my teeth recently I did that, so if it was bad, I would suck it up for two months for the health insurance to kick in. But it turned out to be better than I thought, some preventative work was recommended and using a different toothpaste. (I uh, have caps on my front teeth, due to an unfortunate accident that left me uh, slightly vampire like. I was /slightly concerned/ when as an adult I could no longer eat icecream without pain, because I was told by the first dentist that there was a chance, years later that the teeth could still just die. :( )

It's only 22 to go for the tag team. XD I have 16 podfics that I'm working out how I want to post. (I'm tempted to embed them, but I don't like the embedding options I have seen so far.)

+ The Crossover, The Crossover's Sequel, The Other Crossover's Sequel, + the maybe AU maybe not story to polish/finish writing goddammit, and post as well as any miscellaneous drabbles I've missed during my clean up, of which I'm not very hopeful, but know exist. (The really frustrating thing is, I know I have them as LJ replies in my care2 email, but my care2 email sucks at search and I can't extract those emails :( )

I think I wrote more of it? Not sure, I was working for it a while offline, but I remember pretty distinctly writing a scene of like. Everyone checking out Hikaru arse. XD

I have crappy insurance, but I have it. Mostly I'm looking for someone who will knock me out for everything, because I don't think I could stay conscious for that. I've been kind of poking around, and it seems like my "anxiety" is actually an outright phobia. Which... explains a lot, really. ^_^;;; I'm glad it worked out well for you, though! I loved the Tide commecial when I saw it too. ^_^ It was so cute. Have to say that the other one is just awkward, though at the same time kind of hilarious. Girly mom trying to deal with her obviously-not-girly daughter. ^_^ (CAR GARAGE! I love this girl.)

You know, you could just change the date of posting the fics so that there is no "wall of Ver-land". That's what I did to avoid the Wall of Ai. ^_^ I ran out of fics though. ^_^;;;;;;

The Tide commercial... yeah. The daughter was great. The mom was what made me facepalm. Like one of the comments says: "Whether Tide is making fun of the mother or not, the focus of this commercial is on the child, her style, and how she plays, and it's cast in a negative and disapproving tone."

Hmm, I hadn't thought of the date thing. Perhaps I will go through and change the dates. :D If it was only a few fics I wouldn't worry about it, but. There are currently 59 Hikago pieces, not including the few I haven't posted. So uh, that's a lot. XD

Yeeeeah, I'm not thrilled with the choice either. Generally I would put Japan as a priority over teeth, but... pain. I'm not a fan. XD And I wouldn't want to spend the whole trip in pain, either, you know? Realistically, the trip probably isn't possible again for a few years. Hopefully they're still doing what they're doing by then!
