MY HARRY POTTER CODE:

BPA18 MGF RL+SB+RH+NL+ LV-SS-BL- B++++++ M++++ C+ FF+/ HP/DM-! RW|HG+ RL/SB- GW|NL-

All this gibberish means is...
-My favorite book is Prisoner of Azkaban, favorite chapter is Chapter 18.
-My favorite movie is Goblet of Fire.
-My favorite characters are Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and Rubeus Hagrid.
-My least favorite characters are Lord Voldemort (though I think that's a given), Severus Snape, and Bellatrix Lestrange.
-I own all of the books.
-I own all of the movies.
-I have "only" converted friends and family to Harry Potter (only as in NOT everyone I come in contact with, and I'd like to note that I most definitely have not converted ALL of my friends and family. I'm sorry to say that some remain as convinced as ever that Harry Potter is stupid. Although I did kinda convert a co-worker... he won't read the books but he's rather into the movies now, and he comes up to me quite a bit to ask some question or other. He he.).
-I read fanfiction often and I prefer slash.
-Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy is my OTP, though I think I'd die of shock if it ever actually happened.
-Ron Weasley/Hermione Granger is another favorite, but I KNOW that's going to happen.
-Remus Lupin/Sirius Black is a pairing I enjoy... I highly doubt it will happen for a variety of reasons.
-I prefer to think that Ginny Weasley and Neville Longbottom will end up together, but I don't think JK Rowling agrees.

Have you ever been in a situation where you had to have a conversation with someone, and they were completely fucking gorgeous and nice and all that, and then after the fact you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror or something and discover (to your horror) that you look like absolute hell? God. I fucking hate that. The woman from Halloween (not sure if I mentioned that in this journal, but whatever) came in asking about something, and even though it turned out I couldn't help her, she was really sweet about it. And she's really beautiful. And I... well, I never look all that great... but I was definitely not at my best today, as I looked like death warmed over. Fuck. (to completely change the subject, I've never understood that expression- "death warmed over". What the hell is that supposed to MEAN, anyway?)

On another note, I finally got around to putting some old entries in here from my computer... I think I got all of them. At any rate... I really need to copy some stuff onto my handy little floppy here and get the hell off the computer, because mom's going to be home in about an hour. Fuck. Later!

Honestly, when will I ever learn? You’d think, by now, I’d realize that going into a bookstore is a definite bad idea, especially when said bookstore is new and still as unorganized as all holy hell (I’m hoping it’ll get better, but if not I’m really not planning on going in there again. It’s just about impossible to find anything in there.)… so yeah, I spent money that I really didn’t have to begin with. On the upside I got eight books and only spent a little less than $40... Which definitely is NOT bad, considering. Though I didn’t find the one book I was looking for… again, it was VERY disorganized.

1) Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry- Mildred D. Taylor (I had to read this for sixth grade English and loved it… so when I saw it I just had to pick it up.)
2) Sea of Time- Will Huffell (It looks interesting. *shrug*)
3) Ella Enchanted- Gail Carson Levine (Ever since I saw the movie I’ve wanted to read the book)
4) The Adventures of Tom Sawyer- Mark Twain (I used to have this when I was a kid, but it got destroyed somewhere along the line… what I didn’t realize until I got home and was putting the books away, however, is that this is an “adapted” version… so I’m not sure how much of Twain’s original stuff is still intact.)
5) Uncle Tom’s Cabin- Harriet Beecher Stowe (I’ve been meaning to read this since I first heard about it at thirteen and never got around to picking it up. So here we go.)
6) The Great Gatsby- F. Scott Fitzgerald (I find the 20’s interesting, and by association this is interesting. Another book introduced to me thanks to school)
7) Ancestors of Avalon- Diana L. Paxson (Yes, another Avalon book… I’m definitely going to finish “Mists of Avalon” before I even attempt to start this, though)
8) High Druid of Shannara: Straken- Terry Brooks (Like with Tom Sawyer, I need to learn to look at the back of the book just a little, just because this is part of a trilogy. Which would irritate me to begin with because I don’t have the rest of the trilogy to continue reading, but to top it off, this is the last book in the trilogy. Damn. Which means I can’t really start reading this until I get through the first two books. Well… I could, I guess, but everything would be confusing… and where’s the fun in that?)

In other news, my little friend is here, but she’s not causing many of the usual problems, which is good. For one thing I can actually eat… and the cramps were minimal… the only bad part is, the other thing about these visits that causes problems is still there (the quite painful allergic reaction I have to the necessary hygiene products). Oh, and now I have no money, so I can’t go to the health store to see if they have something natural I can use that I might not be allergic to… which means, unfortunately, I’m just going to have to deal with it and be in pain for the next week and a half to two weeks. Great.
