If it helps he took a long time to grow on me, but for me the appeal in Murasakibara is the fact that he's an asshole because he's kind of broken and resigned to be the villain; plus sweets are justice!!! Excuses for fun. XD he's also got some key scenes with other characters that I like, like Kiyoshi and Himuro.

Kuroko says that outside of basketball they get along pretty well, which is one of the reasons why I'm willing to give him a benefit of doubt and became more interested in him - cause that's some pretty drastic whiplash otherwise. Also he's pretty smart even if he chooses to act lazy, I'd imagine it grates when people treat him like a dumb oaf.
