It never occurred to me that the marks were acne scars- mostly because of the coloring and the spread (it's a little weird that they all would be bunched up high on his cheeks like that and nowhere else, if they were scars from acne.). That being said, while I still see the marks as freckles in this case, I would LOVE to see more characters across various mediums with a variety of skin types/problems/etc. Nobody has perfect skin, and especially with shows that deal with teenagers? Come ON.
Agreed on the Abe/Mihashi dynamic, and it's why unless something changes significantly, I can't see myself shipping them. They really bring out the worst in each other, and Abe is dangerously close to "emotionally abusive" territory in certain ways, and I just... no. I can't deal with that. If I have to ship for this series, it would be the two I mentioned, or I could also see Tajima/Mihashi working, though I kind of want to see them stay platonic BFF's. They MIGHT fool around a little at some point, but nothing serious, and I kind of doubt it.. (Apparently, in my head Tajima/Mihashi has roughly the same romantic dynamic as Waya/Hikaru, except Waya and Hikaru are WAY more likely to sex each other up.)
I dunno, I think it's part of a whole thing where it's more acceptable for Japanese boys to be emotional in certain situations, so to us it's weird, but to them it's not that surprising and maybe even expected. I'm still getting used to that, tbh. It shocked the hell out of me when I first watched Hikago, after that second tournament against Kaio and everybody was crying. O_O
Songs- hmm, interesting. I'm glad I asked, because I really was curious. <3
VA's- You know, I never would've connected Mihashi and Nagisa in my head. It's kind of amazing when they can do that, make each character they do unique. Those kinds of VA's are so talented and put so much love into their work. I can't help but admire it.
