verloren1983: (Draco's Hat)

I just completely burned the shit out of some chicken and french fries. I put them in... and came in here... and got involved in reading the new fic that [personal profile] pir8fancier put out. Which is rather long, I might add. Whoops. I guess I should probably go take the pan out of the oven at some point... I just left it in there when I finally remembered, because I knew the damn thing would be too hot to take out anyway even with an oven mitt. It should probably be okay now...

I'm still going through the MuggleCast episodes I downloaded. I think I'm on... eight? Maybe? Give me a break, they're long and it's not like I can listen to them for hours and hours at a time. I have, however, acquired some new thoughts/theories from listening, which is always interesting. I'm sure I'll come up with more as time goes on.

I've kind of given up on finding Run again. Dammit. On the upside, I've decided that I really need to alphabetize at least the Harry/Draco section of my rec list, so hopefully I can do that in the next couple of days. It really just requires a lot of cutting and pasting, but... have I ever mentioned that I'm lazy? Yeah, because I am.

1. Is the Brazilian Boa Constrictor Harry set free from book one Nagini? (and if not, where did Nagini come from, anyway?)
2. Another point for the "Snape is good" team- when Harry was chasing Snape after Dumbledore's murder, Snape could've EASILY captured Harry and brought him to Voldemort. Why didn't he, if he's not on the light side?
3. The Pensieve- what has/will happen to Dumbledore's memories? How much access will Harry have to them? Did Dumbledore leave more clues/messages for Harry through this? Might the memories even clear Snape's name?
4. In "Snapes Worst Memory", we see an interaction between a teenage Severus and Lily that's rather interesting. It seems like there's definitely something between them, even if it's just one sided. Were they secretly friends? Did Snape have a crush on Lily? Is this why Voldemort offered to spare Lily, because Snape asked him to?
5. Ollivander mysteriously disappeared during Half Blood Prince. Did he go on his own, to get away from the coming war... or was he kidnapped by Death Eaters to figure out how to break the connection between Voldemort's and Harry's wands (or to possibly make a completely new wand for Voldemort)? This would be interesting, as it would solve the priori incantatem problem from the fourth book...
6. On the tower- maybe Dumbledore didn't freeze Harry to protect him. Maybe he froze Harry to prevent him from INTERFERING.
7. Also on the tower- Let's talk about Snape for a bit. First of all, the fact that Dumbledore was catapaulted into the air from the Avada Kedavra is suspect. After all, we've seen people die from the curse before and no one else has flown into the air from it- usually you just collapse. It's been proposed that the emotion Snape was feeling at the time- the guilt, hatred for Dumbledore for making him do this, and so on- caused this to happen. We've seen the effect one's emotions can have on their magic, how someone can even do magic purely from their emotions without meaning to, so this is completely possible. On the same token, we can interpret the "look of hatred" Snape threw at Dumbledore differently too. Maybe it wasn't so much hatred of Dumbledore, but hatred of the situation, hatred of himself for doing this, and (again), a little bit of hatred toward Dumbledore for MAKING him do this.

I keep thinking there was more, but I'm not finding any more notes, so I have to assume there's not. So far. I'll post more theories and whatnot as I come across them.

I have some other stuff to do, so I think I'm going to get going now. Later!
