☁ That story I wrote last semester that got into the literary magazine? They FINALLY put the PDF of the 2013 edition online. It's here, if anyone is curious. (Most, if not all of you either know my name or my placement in this list, so I won't bother saying that here. If you don't know and would like to, message me privately.)
☁ Speaking of writing stuff- creative writing is going well or badly, depending on how you look at it. On the upside, I definitely have an A in it so far, and she LOVED the first completed story I handed in. On the downside... the second story is due Friday and I've barely written anything for it. I actually had a bit more written on a sheet of notebook paper, but then I went and lost the sheet. Of course. >_< *screwed* The plan is to go to the library soon and actually work. We'll see how that goes. XD In the meantime, I actually made Sims of the two main characters and I was watching them to see what happened, hoping to get some background ideas. (It didn't work, but to my credit, I did turn it off when I realized it wasn't working. XD)
☁ It took a while, but I finally got another review up- this time on the 3DS XL, now that I've had it for about seven months. It is here.
☁ On the gaming score, I'm at the fire temple on Ocarina of Time. While I'm finding the game incredibly frustrating at times, I also really like it for the most part. It's an interesting premise- and hey, time travel is one of the few aspects of sci-fi that I really enjoy, so there's that. :P However, I also know that the new Phoenix Wright comes out ten days from now, and as much as it pisses me off that it's download only, we all know I'm going to get it anyway, so that's going to completely eat my brain for a couple of weeks probably. XD
☁ It feels weird saying this, but it's been announced in the BG comm already, so I probably shouldn't- I'm now one of the mods for
blind_go . I think maybe it feels weird because it still doesn't actually seem real, you know what I mean? I'm kind of terrified. O_O Anyway, you guys shouldn't be too nervous, because we're not planning on making a whole bunch of scary changes or anything. We like BG the way it is. We want to see it live and do well. :) On that note, I would say that maybe you guys should keep an eye on the comm around American Thanksgiving or so (maybe even a little earlier, I haven't really given any thoughts to exact dates yet). You might find something of interest. ;)
☁ I'm still sort of sick- I mostly feel fine, I just have this freaking cough/chest tightness that refuses to go away. Meh. So I still haven't started that Couch to 5k thing yet (kind of a dumb idea when just walking kicks up my cough, much less running. No thanks) I also managed to twist my ankle a few weeks ago. Because I totally needed that on top of still being sick and having my period show up early. Respiratory problems plus stomach problems plus mobility problems. JFC. Murphy's Law isn't just a theory, you guys. XD So yeah. Luckily it was a minor sprain, so it's more or less back to normal, with the occasional "ow, shouldn't have done that" when I move my right foot in a way my ankle doesn't like. ^_^;;;
☁ Salem on Saturday~! I'm excited. And nervous. But mostly excited. It should be fun. :D
☁ My advising appointment for Spring Semester isn't until November 3, which SUCKS, but it's my own fault since I kiiiiiiiinda forgot about doing it. <_< In the meantime, though, there's an open house for one of the top schools on my short list next Sunday, so it's kind of okay. I can bring my transcript stuff and hopefully see a financial aid person and be like, here's what I've got, what can you do for me? (You know, outside of other potential scholarships and loans, which I'm looking into as well)
....aaaand now it's way later than it was when I initially started this, and it feels like I'm missing something here, I'm going to go attempt to do something semi-productive. Hopefully. XD
