1. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? About the same.
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter. I don't want to talk about it.
iii. richer or poorer? About the same

2. Births/additions to your family/friends?
No babies, but I did get some school friends. :)

3. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope

4. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Colds, but nothing major happened, no

5. Who was the best new person you met?
Marcus. It's great to have someone in your corner.

6. Who did you miss?
My sister

7. How would you describe your personal fashion concept this year?
Same as every other year- whatever is reasonably clean. XD

8. Did you travel this year?
Would've been nice, but I didn't have the money, sadly.

9. Where did most of your money go?
College, food, rent

10. What did you do on your birthday?
I had classes (Multicultural Lit and American History), and then Stef picked me up and we went to Denny's for dinner and saw Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. :)

11. How did you spend Christmas?
Just bummed around the house. Made dinner. Watched Christmas movies. Basically, it was nice and quiet. :)

12. What did you do last New Year's Eve? How will you spend this New Year's Eve?
Last New Year's? I honestly don't remember, and I didn't put it in here, so I have no way of checking. I probably just did a repeat of the Christmas question minus the Christmas movies. That was the plan tonight, for the most part. I cleaned a little, watched some Netflix, I've got a peach smirnoff in the fridge with my name on it for midnight, and I'm trying to not pass out before then. XD

13. Favorite TV program this year?
The same as it's been the last few years- Chopped. :3

14. Favorite movie of the year?
Hmm. There have been LOTS of new movies this year (thank you, Netflix XD), but none of those were actually new THIS year. For stuff that came out this year, I saw Percy Jackson and The Hunger Games. I enjoyed both, but I have to say that I liked Percy Jackson better.

15. What was the best book you read?

Reading? For fun? What is that? (*sob* I don't know who I am anymore!)

16. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I... can't think of anything. :/

17. What political issue stirred you the most?
Probably going to go with Ai's answer: Federal government Shutdown of Shame. Or gay marriage. You know, either way. :)

18. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I'm sort of girlcrushing on Jennifer Lawrence, not gonna lie.

19. What date from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
None because I have a shitty memory, so let's be realistic about this. XD

20. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions?
I don't make resolutions because I never keep them anyway.

21. What are your resolutions for next year?
See previous response.

22. In the new year, what would you like to:
i. stop doing? PROCRASTINATING
ii. keep doing? Trying to keep myself relaxed
iii. start doing? Watching what I eat (again)

23. What did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before?
Achieved a 4.0! \o/ (Both spring and fall semesters, even!)

24. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting published in the college literary magazine

25. What was your biggest failure?
The level of procrastination and depression this year was RIDICULOUS.

26. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Um... previously mentioned achievements... the video game blog (that I'm insanely behind on)... yeah. Not much this year.

27. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not having to freak out about money all summer?

28. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Reading for fun. I miss it terribly. :(

29. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastination

30. What are you grateful for this year?
That I survived the year? XD

31. What was the biggest surprise of the year?
Writing award and biology award!

32. What did you want and get?
4.0's, 3DS, not much else

33. What did you want and not get?
There wasn't much of a break emotionally. 2013 was just a lot of anxiety. I also didn't randomly win the lottery. XD

34. What stressed you out?
In no particular order: school, pride alliance, buses, family, money, html

35. What kept you sane?
...we're defining sanity loosely, then. XD Mainly it was friends and gaming.

36. What valuable life lesson(s) have you learned this year?
Procrastination is nice at the time, but it's really, REALLY not worth the angst later. (Of course, KNOWING this and DOING it are two totally different things, but whatever. XD)

37. What would you like to have next year that you lacked this year?
Motivation, electronics not dying on me constantly

38. On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate this year?
5. 2013 was good to me academically, which gets us up to the 5, but SUCKED for everything else. On the other hand, at least it's a 5. Could've been a whole lot worse.

39. What are you most looking forward to next year?
Graduating from my community college, moving on to a good four year school, MOVING (all of which also scares the shit out of me, but yanno. XD)

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
I don't want to be your simple saving grace,
just another little victim with a happy face.
Someday, someday soon, somebody's gonna come,
I hope they do this to you.

*hugs* Here's hoping 2014 is better. ♥ (I can't admonish you about procrastination, I'm that way myself. *sheepish*)
