2011, so far, BLOWS.
January 2nd, 2011 05:09 am1. One of the many reasons I almost never drink: even if I have one, I feel like utter shit the next day. So I had a couple of godiva-and-milks around midnight (much more milk than godiva, I assure you XD), and sure enough, felt like shit.
2. On top of the previous, my body decided that it hates me. Pamprin wasn't touching the cramps, either. UGH.
3. Didn't have a thermacare patch for said cramps. Work was out of them, so tried a store brand, which turned out to be freaking useless. So basically, I was in a lot of pain all day.
4. Because the day wasn't shitty enough: I found out while I was at work that a friend got gaybashed last night. He's okay, but... ugh. :/ I later discovered it was a fucking bouncer at a straight bar, who apparently followed Paul out of the place and attacked him. The other bouncers had to actually pull the guy off of him. God. I'm actually kind of glad I wasn't there, because I would've flipped out and wouldn't that have been ridiculous? 4'11" me shouting at a big bouncer type guy. XDDD Still, it's scary, you know? It's not like he was in the boondocks somewhere, this is Albany. I'll grant you that Albany's certainly not a gay mecca or anything close to that, but people are pretty low-key about the gay thing here, from my experience. At least overall. You always get some assholes, but meh. The important thing is that he's okay, and he did report it. He's more upset about the fact that he has "JOE" imprinted on his face (asshole must've had one of those knuckle ring things that leaves markings) than the actual attack. Go figure.
End of year memes!

Second, because I think it's neat, a song-prediction meme, from

1. Put your iPod or other music player on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the NEXT button to get your answer.
3. You must write that song name down no matter how silly it sounds.

January 3rd, 2009 02:07 pmPeople fail. There's a delay in Junjou Romantica subbing, though at least that I can understand. The subber's computer crashed, and until things are back up and running again, no episodes. Sucky, but understandable. Crunchyroll has pulled all of the anime off it's site and is only allowing "official" uploads now- basically meaning that a ton of stuff probably won't get put back up there. Like Chi. -_- Graaaah. Annoying.
Also, today is

Work soon. Urgh. Do I have to? I'm feeling sleepy and not up to it at all. -_-

January 3rd, 2008 12:24 pmI was going to make a "last post of the year" post, but... Akichan kind of pulled me into this online game and I forgot. XD Speaking of which... Dark Ages is surprisingly addictive. Of course, Akichan and I suck, but... meh. If anyone else wants to play, maybe we can group together sometime. ^_^ It involves a download but it's a quick one, honest. I'm a wizard on one character (er... even if I only have two spells at the moment... <_<) and a warrior in another. I've never really played online games like this before, it's fun. <3
But since I missed it, happy new year, everyone! ^_^ I dug up an end of year survey from a couple of years ago that I thought I'd do again... so here we go. Only a few days late. Woot!

2005 New Year's Survey
January 28th, 2006 04:50 am(a little late, but whatever)
1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? Danced with a girl at a club (she was cute, too). Sorta. I'm an exquisitely bad dancer *blushes*. I also got proposistioned after that, but I turned her down because I'm not a one night stand kind of gal.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't make any last year... this year, I've promised myself that I'll get out of CVS, and to not buy any more god damn video games until I finish the ones I have (not counting anything that I've already pre-ordered, of course... though technically, I already broke this one. I got Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for my Game Boy. Whoops.)
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No
4. Did anyone close to you die? Close to me, no. That I knew... yes. Brandon Hillman, a guy I went to high school with died in a car accident. Oh, and Patti's son Todd was murdered.
5. What countries did you visit? This one.
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? Love, and school
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Errr... can't think of anything, actually.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Not wringing Katie's stupid neck!
9. What was your biggest failure? Not going to school
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nothing major. A couple of colds here and there, migraines, the usual.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Playstation 2... yay!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Kelly graduated from high school and managed to sneak past Mom in order to go to college.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Erin's scaring me a little bit with her constant money issues- all caused by HER irresponsibility with money, despite what she may tell you. I'm not appalled... just a bit disappointed. And aggrevated, mostly because she always seems to be borrowing money from me, money that I don't have and then makes ME have money issues. Grrr.
14. Where did most of your money go? Food, Mommie Dearest, video games
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? The L Word Season 2, Queer As Folk Season 4, Kingdom Hearts!
16. What song will always remind you of 2005? A couple. Mostly "Because of You" by Kelly Clarkson... it really struck a major cord with me. Not too many songs can make me cry, but this one did the first time I heard it.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder: About the same, methinks.
Older or wiser: Well of course I'm older... I guess maybe a little wiser too, just a tad. I'm still a twit most of the time, though.
Thinner or fatter: I think about the same.
Richer or poorer: About the same. Maybe a little richer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Hounding mom about school
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Sleeping the day away
20. How will you be spending Christmas? I spent Christmas at work. Yippie yahooie.
21. How will you be spending New Years Eve? Working as per usual. Had a drink or so with Erin and Kelly and watched the ball drop on TV, that's about it.
22. Did you fall in love in 2005? No
23. How many one-night stands? Zero
24. What was your favorite TV program? Don't really watch TV, as daytime sucks and I'm never home to watch night-time. I try and have Kelly record One Tree Hill and Everwood for me (but really... OTH is more important), I like CSI a lot (the forensic stuff is wicked interesting) but can never actually see it. Bah.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Don't think so. I reserve hate for very special people... I dislike a few more people, though. *cough*KATIE*cough*
26. What was the best book you read? Ooooooooh, entirely too many. I can't even think of just one.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Howie Day
28. What did you want and get? Digital camera :)
29. What did you want and not get? A lot of things. Too many to list, actually.
30. What was your favorite film(s) of this year? Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Even though most HP fans hated it. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. There are others, but I can't think of them.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 22, and I had some drinks with Kelly and Stef. Got a little drunk, but not a lot.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? SCHOOL!
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005? Same as every other year: Whatever's clean at the time is perfect. Started trying to dress up a little bit more for work, though. Of course... it would help if so many of my clothes didn't have god damn holes in them, or if I had the money to replace them, but nevermind.
34. What kept you sane? Sane? Since when am I sane?
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Err... I don't really do the whole "crush on a famous person" thing. However: Jessica Alba is hot and totally fuckable.
36. What political issue stirred you the most? Not really much of anything, except maybe our involvement in the Middle East (now that my cousin Joey is getting shipped off to Afghanistan)
37. Who did (do) you miss? Andrea
38. Who were the best new people you met? Sue, Scott, Pat, Mary
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005: People suck.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
Because of you I try my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you I am afraid
